Expressing
Appreciation for Older Christians
Introduction:
As one ages, and reaches the latter levels of life
experience, it becomes easy for one think there is not much for them to do in
the kingdom. While that may be true to a certain extent, all of us need to
realize there is always work to be done, regardless of age. How do older
Christians benefit other Christians today?
A.
From the time teenagers
begin to test boundaries to the time they begin to families of their own, they
own a monopoly on knowledge.
B. We must not lose sight of those that have been where we are and can offer advice to any decisions that must be made. Prov. 20:29

When it comes to life issues
it is wise for people to consult those that have lived life and can give
guidance. Job 12:12

Older men are to be…

One of the most
disappointing moments for people is when things do not work as they once did. Eccl. 12:1-4

This is where many are
tempted to think there is nothing for them to do in the kingdom.

No matter the age of a
Christian there is always work needing to be done.

Some serve as an example
without even knowing it.

Know of several Christians
over the years that come even though they hurt physically.

You encourage those here
when you show your perseverance through physical pain and attend services.

No matter how old one may
be, there is always work to be done in the kingdom.

Are you serving the Lord
regardless of age tonight?
