The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Introduction:

Matthew 25:1-13 takes place in the final week of Jesus’ life. Just before this, Jesus predicted that the temple would be thrown down and rebuilt in 3 days. He then describes events concerning the destruction of Jerusalem and then concludes Matthew 24 speaking of the suddenness and unexpectedness of His return. In Matthew 25, Jesus speaks in parables teaching about the need to be prepared for His return. Today’s lesson will focus on the parable of the ten virgins.
